In a week of celebrity sightings in relation to hydrogen cars, Prince Charles was spotted driving a Ford Focus FCV from Brighton to London, UK a day ahead of the eco rally along the same course. By driving the hydrogen car, Prince Charles raised the flag on the Veteran Car Run, which highlights alternative fuel technology in London and all of England.
At the eco rally, Ford also made the European debut of their Ford Explorer FCV. Both Ford FCV’s made their way to the UK eco road rally from their Aachen Research Centre in Germany.
Prince Charles may not have been riding in a royal carriage or even a pumpkin, but, giving the royal touch and blessing to hydrogen car technology can be seen as nothing less than magical as a new era is dawning for hydrogen acceptance.
