It’s been a while since I’ve talked about celebrities such as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie driving a hydrogen car. Some of the other celebrities that are on the list of past hydrogen car drivers include Cameron Diaz, Jesse James, Jay Leno, Will Ferrell, Prince Charles and Jack Nicholson.
So, let’s add another actress to this list, Diane Kruger. Who you say? According to USA Today, “Mercedes-Benz has begun banging the drum over celebs driving its B-Class F-cell hydrogen small car, available in Southern California and soon expanding to Northern California.
“The German automaker took note earlier in the week that model-turned-actress Diane Kruger is an F-cell motorist. Kruger is known lately for her performance as Marie Antoinette in the movie Farewell, My Queen. She also starred last year in the movie Unknown with January Jones, a leading lady in the Mad Men TV series.”
So, the Prius was so 5 years ago in Hollywood. Any self-respecting star or starlet now needs to be driving something more relevant and something less polluting like a zero emissions vehicle. Let’s hope that star power continues to propel hydrogen cars forward. And Hollywood, just to let you know I’m still waiting for that next gen Transformer movie that features hydrogen car transformers saving the world.
