Renault Scenic ZEV H2
Based on the non-fuel cell Grand Scenic, Renault is rolling out its ZEV H2 vehicle. The Renault Scenic ZEV H2 is tapping into its alliance with Nissan, (which is currently showing off the X-Trail FCV) to use the Nissan-designed fuel cell in the Renault Scenic ZEV H2.

The architecture of the Renault Scenic ZEV is flexible as the fuel cell components may be placed underneath the floorboard creating maximum room for passengers. Like the X-Trail, the Renault Scenic ZEV H2 also uses lithium-ion battery power to provide this hybrid vehicle with extra oomph.
The five-passenger Renault Scenic ZEV H2 has a range of 200 – 330 miles depending upon whether one fills the high pressure tanks with 5,000 or 10,000 psi hydrogen gas. The top speed of the Renault Scenic ZEV H2 is around 100 mph.
The ZEV H2 will also be a part of the Renault Environment Business Unit’s end-of-life vehicle (ELV) recycling program, which is aimed towards environmental protection. The Renault Scenic ZEV H2 and the Nissan X-Trail FCV will be part of a joint European tour in the 2008 summer.
